NDFCU is Helping Kids Through “Christmas in July” with Maine Children’s Home
At New Dimensions Federal Credit Union, we believe in the power of community—and that includes lending a hand when it’s needed most. That’s why both our Waterville and Skowhegan branches are proud to once again serve as collection sites for the Maine Children’s Home’s Christmas in July giving drive!
What is Christmas in July?
Organized by the Maine Children’s Home, the Christmas / Winter Essentials Program provides care packages filled with warm clothing, hygiene items, and gifts for more than 1,400 children and teens across Maine each year. While the holidays may seem far away, the preparation begins now—and your support can make a lasting impact.
How Can You Help?
Throughout the month of July, we’re collecting newly purchased:
- Socks and underwear (for children from infant to age 17)
- Hygiene items (for teens ages 13–17)
These essential items are often overlooked but are incredibly meaningful for children in need. Your donation helps provide warmth, dignity, and comfort during the coldest months of the year.
Drop-Off Locations
Stop by our Waterville or Skowhegan branches to donate! Look for the Christmas in July display and drop your items in the collection bin. Every item helps a child feel supported and cared for.
Can’t Make It In?
No problem—there are other ways to contribute! Visit mainechildrenshome.org to give online or shop directly from their Amazon Wishlist.
Thank You for Making a Difference
Your generosity ensures that local children will head into winter with the essentials they need—and the knowledge that someone out there cares. Thank you for helping us bring comfort and care to Maine kids this season!
