Driving Toward Hope: How New Dimensions FCU Supports MCCP Through Cruisin’ For A Cure
On June 7th, chrome will shine, engines will roar, and hearts will unite for a cause that’s bigger than any one of us. Cruisin’ For A Cure, proudly hosted by New Dimensions Federal Credit Union at Lafleur Airport in Waterville, is more than just a celebration of classic cars—it’s a signature event rooted in community, compassion, and commitment to the children of Maine.
Now in its 11th year, this annual car show is one of the many ways New Dimensions FCU lives out its mission to serve and uplift the people of Central Maine. Through this beloved tradition, NDFCU has raised over $190,000 to support the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP)—a division of MaineHealth’s Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and the only comprehensive pediatric oncology program in the state.
Located in Scarborough, MCCP provides world-class medical care to children fighting cancer, allowing families to stay close to home during treatment. Their multidisciplinary team of pediatric oncologists, nurses, social workers, and child life specialists supports every stage of the cancer journey—from diagnosis through survivorship—with exceptional care and unwavering compassion.
What makes MCCP truly extraordinary is its whole-family approach to healing. Blending cutting-edge treatments with emotional and psychosocial support, the program creates a space where kids can still be kids, even during the hardest days.
Proceeds from Cruisin’ For A Cure go directly to MCCP, funding life-saving research, support services, and vital care programs that ease the burden for Maine families navigating childhood cancer.
When you attend the show, you’re not just admiring shiny paint and polished chrome—you’re standing with a credit union that believes in giving back and helping drive hope forward.
Join us on June 7th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, and be a part of something meaningful. Together, with New Dimensions FCU, we can make a difference—one engine rev at a time.
