Share Draft - Checking Accounts

The New Dimensions FCU Share Draft checking accounts satisfy a variety of needs as well as offering many money saving features. With our Share Draft accounts, our members enjoy the following:

  • No per check fees
  • No monthly service charges (on personal accounts)
  • No minimum balance requirements
  • Duplicate check copies
  • Visa check cards
  • Free Teller-Phone service
  • Free Online Anytime
  • Free CU-e statements
  • Free “Click-n-Pay” service
  • Overdraft Protection

The Overdraft Protection added to the list of Share Draft features creates a “safety net” for our members circumventing merchant fees for a returned check and avoiding damage to your credit history. All New Dimensions FCU Share Draft accounts are attached to a Share Account (savings account). In the event of an overdraft, the money is transferred from the Share Account into the Share Draft account to cover the overdraft. If the Share Account does not have sufficient funds to cover the overdraft, the credit union may provide Member Privilege. This service is provided at a minimal fee with a $500 limit to members in good standing at the credit union and if the Share Draft account has been opened for a minimum of 90 days. Lastly, the credit union offers an Overdraft Line of Credit (Application). The Overdraft Line of Credit is a pre-determined amount, disbursed in a minimum of $100 increments, incurs finance charges, and requires minimum payments.

In addition to personal Share Draft accounts, the New Dimensions FCU offers business checking accounts at a reasonable monthly fee.

It just makes sense to have your checking account with us.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY NCUA INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the National Credit Union Administration through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to members under the NCUA's general share insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional share draft account (or demand deposit account) on which the insured credit union pays no interest or dividend. It does not include any transaction account that may earn interest or dividends, a negotiable order of withdrawal ("NOW") account, money-market deposit account, and Interest on Lawyers Trust Account ("IOLTA"), even if share drafts may be drawn on the account.

For more information about temporary NCUA insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit NCUA.gov.
